the NYC Bubble Battle 2011

This was a very fun event, from the invitation:

""Millions of bubbles fly through the air as we converge for a magical bubble battle! Loosely based on the Dr. Seuss Classic The Butter Battle Book. Bring bubble toys, bubble generators, bubble solution, and plenty of AA batteries :) We will meet, fill our weapons and pull the trigger!"

This was my first time using a gopro, as in quite literally pulling it out of it's package, charging it and going to the bubble battle. As for the music I used Los Petardos which was just the perfect complement to the video.

Now I have to go back and learn how to set the camera....

A beautiful moment I witnessed in Washington Square Park

Yesterday was I was walking around in Washington Square Park taking photos and videos of the musicians I witnessed a beautiful moment between a father and his baby. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did

I've uploaded another video of the pianist,  his name is Colin Huggins and apparently he plays a lot at Washington Square Park, if you are nearby on the weekends do drop by and see him, he's really good.

Update: People have asked me what gear did I use to record this video. I used a Nikon D700 with a 70-200 vr lens and a rhode micrphone, there is also an earlier post which has all my gear listed in case you are interested.

This is my second video testing the capabilities of the D7000 and trying to teach myself how to tell a story within a limited time frame. For this one I tried to document as much as possible during the two day period..I think I ended with almost two hours worth of clips. The hardest part was cutting the video down to the time frame.
